This sublime white port lacks the red color, because the peels are removed immediately after pressing. As a result, a light, fairly sweet aperitif has been created, which – lightly chilled – taste deliciously. Even on-the-rocks, as the British like to do! From Oporto, the vineyards are just across the Douro. The cool maritime climate keeps the Fonseca cellars cool and humid: ideal conditions to reach the ripeness and complexity that Fonseca’s port wines are famous for.
What can you taste? Rich fragrant nose with aromas of soft, juicy fruit and hints of honey and oak. It is a port with a body, a velvet taste and a long, tasty aftertaste. Fonseca Special White Port can be dispensed directly from the bottle and does not have to be decanted.
Food & Spice: Serve cool as delicious appetizer and as delicious dessert wine.
